Shine My Ride were asked to carry out some mobile car valeting in Cheddar, Somerset on a 2007 Porsche 911 Carrera S.

The vehicle has spent a little too much time at the hand car washes, so was looking a little sorry for itself.

So the first job was to get the vehicle clean and ready for polishing.  The wheels were cleaned with a non-acid wheel cleaner, and the vehicle washed using a soft washmitt.  Tar contamination was removed, and the vehicle thoroughly rinsed and then dried with microfibre drying towels.  

Then the vehicle was machine polished to reduce the swirling and scratching that was robbing the car of it's gloss.  Then it was machine polished to refine the finish to enhance the gloss further.  At this stage, it was given a coat of sealant to protect the newly revived finish.

The glass was cleaned, and the exterior trim and tyres dressed.  The interior was also fully valeted, the leather cleaned etc.

This owner did.  It is a 53-plate Toyota Corolla, which was generally in good condition, although somewhat neglected.  It had less than 41,000 miles on the clock.

 But the owner realised that in order for the vehicle to create the right impression with a potential buyer, so called for Shine My Ride.

The interior was fully valeted too, firstly vacuumed out, then carpets and seats were shampooed, and all the plastics cleaned.

The exterior was thoroughly cleaned, including the wheels.  Tar spots on the paintwork were removed.  The vehicle was rinsed down again, and then dried ready for polishing.  The paintwork was polished, and then protected to seal in the revived gloss.  Trim and tyres were dressed, and glass cleaned.

2003 Range Rover - Gloss Enhancement and Ceramishield Protection

Shine My Ride were asked to go to a village near Burnham-On-Sea, Somerset to quote on this Range Rover. It belongs to the same customer as a BMW Z4 I did before. As he was so pleased with the job I did on the Z4, he wanted to same done to his Range Rover Vogue.

So the first step was to get the car clean, inclusing removing the tar from the paintwork. Then it was a case of finding the best combination for restoring the gloss back to the paintwork.  The picture below shows the difference professional machine polishing can make

So the polishing process was continued around the whole vehicle, including the roof.  The finish was refined to bring out the gloss, and then it was prepared for ceramic sealant application. 

Ceramic sealants have a number of advantages including hardness, making them more resistant to marking, high gloss, and they are hydrophobic.

Mobile Car Valeting - Taunton, Somerset

Shine My Ride were asked to carry out some mobile valeting near Taunton, Somerset on a 2010 Vauxhall Meriva.

This was a Motability contract hire vehicle that was about to come to the end of the agreement term.  For Motability users, there is a Good Condition Bonus of £250 if the vehicle is returned in satisfactory condition.

So the interior was completely valeted, with all seats and carpets shampooed, dash and plastic surfaces cleaned.

So once that was complete, it was time to start on the exterior.  Wheels were cleaned with a non-acid wheel cleaner, grime removed from the dirt traps and nook and crannies.  The vehicle was then washed and dried.  Then the paintwork was polished and protected with a spray sealant product.  Glass was cleaned, and trim and tyres dressed.  This was the finished result.
